Learning Objectives

  • Identify the main learnings from previous Forum meetings and clarify key conclusions relevant to policymakers.

  • Examine different policy and funding approaches for high quality ECEC services, focused on the needs of children in poverty and children from a migrant background.

  • Identify clear approaches on how recommendations on serving a diverse public can be brought to implementation, with a focus on funding strategies and issues of accountability.

  • Examine the possibilities for high-level federal and EU policies and initiatives to inspire and influence national, regional and local policies.

  • Discuss the possible roles that philanthropic foundations can play to stimulate public and political support for inclusive ECEC policies and services.
